On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Geophysics Student Association of Tanjungpura University (UNTAN) organized an institutional visit to the Kalimantan River Basin Office (BWSK) I in Pontianak. This event aimed to introduce students to institutions related to geophysics studies and strengthen the network between the Geophysics Program at UNTAN and external stakeholders and partners.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mr. Novizar Adiyansyah, Head of the SNVT PJPA, and Ms. Fadiah, Head of the Operations and Maintenance Department. During the visit, representatives from BWSK I presented the office's profile and activities, followed by a discussion between the students and the BWSK representatives.
The students showed great enthusiasm throughout the event, as evidenced by the many questions and discussions raised regarding BWSK I’s operations and technical activities. This visit is expected to provide new insights and strengthen the relationship between the UNTAN Geophysics Program and key stakeholders in the water resource sector.
This activity underscores the commitment of the UNTAN Geophysics Program to enhancing student competencies and expanding collaboration with institutions related to the field of geophysics.
