Pontianak, April 6, 2026 – The Geophysics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Tanjungpura conducted a Workshop and Practicum on Seismic Data Acquisition on Monday, April 6, 2026. This activity was attended by Geophysics students as part of an effort to enhance practical skills in seismic surveying.
The event featured Dr. Dadi Abdurrahman, S.T., M.T. as the speaker, who provided direct guidance to participants in understanding the process of seismic data acquisition in the field. The materials covered included equipment preparation, data acquisition techniques, and the application of theoretical concepts learned in the classroom.
During the activity, participants not only gained theoretical insights but also engaged in hands-on field practice. This approach aimed to help students understand the complete workflow of seismic data acquisition and to face real-world challenges commonly encountered during field surveys.
Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the session, actively engaging in both practical activities and discussions with the speaker regarding technical challenges in the field.
Through this workshop and practicum, students are expected to improve their technical competencies and be better prepared to support research and geophysical exploration activities, particularly in seismic methods.
