On June 7, 2024, the Geophysics Study Program of Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) held the Field Course Results Seminar 2024. The event took place in the Geophysics and Geographic Information System (GIS) Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UNTAN.
This seminar is an essential part of the Geophysics curriculum, where students present the data processing results they obtained from various field practicum activities. The data presented included results from the Basic Geology, Geoelectric, Self Potential, Meteorology, Oceanography, and Hydrology field practicums.
In this activity, students demonstrated their ability to process and analyze field data using various geophysical methods. Presentations included basic geological interpretation, subsurface resistivity measurements using geoelectric techniques, natural electric field anomaly measurements through self potential, and analysis of meteorological, oceanographic, and hydrological data to understand environmental dynamics and natural phenomena.
This seminar not only served as a platform for students to share their research findings but also as a medium for discussion and evaluation by lecturers and fellow students. Additionally, this activity is expected to strengthen students' data analysis and scientific presentation skills, as well as enhance their understanding of the practical applications of geophysical sciences in various fields.
