Dr. Joko Sampurno, S.Si., M.Si., is a lecturer in the Geophysics Study Program who earned his Doctorate in Bioscience Engineering from UCLouvain, Belgium. Dr. Joko specializes in the application of Remote Sensing technology for monitoring floods, agriculture, and land cover changes. He also possesses extensive knowledge of Machine Learning, which he applies in data analysis and environmental and hydrological modeling. Additionally, he is skilled in GIS for spatial analysis and the visualization of geographic data. Over the past four years, Dr. Joko Sampurno has focused his research on flood modeling in the Kapuas River estuary. He actively collaborates with the Maritime Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency in Pontianak to support the understanding and mitigation of environmental and hydrological issues in the West Kalimantan region.
